What is the Wendell Chamber of Commerce?

Organized in 1947. The Wendell chamber of Commerce has served and continues to serve the agency through which community plans become community action.

The Wendell Chamber of Commerce is the business community at work as the central agency for the development of our community... doing jobs that no firm or individual can do alone.

Consider the Wendell Chamber of Commerce as department in your business.  Your Chamber works to build positive sentiment on many civic problems in the community and the conditions under which business is conducted.

How is it Organized?

The Board of Directors of the Wendell chamber of Commerce, elected by the membership, sets the policy for the Chamber.  They serve without pay and also supervise several committees set up to handle special projects.

The head of the Chamber is the President, elected by the Board of Directors.  The only paid staff member is the Executive Director who maintains the office and works under the supervision of the President of the Board.

Strictly non-sectarian, the Chamber is cooperative with all churches and religious institutions and advocates high ethical practices in all endeavors.

The Chamber supports no particular political viewpoint and recommends no candidate for public office.  The Chamber seeks to represent the entire business and professional community; however, it does not recommend any one firm, product or service.
